Mokokchung, April 3 (MExN): The 33rd annual conference of Mokokchung Lotha Students’ Union (MLSU) was held at the Town Hall with the theme “Lotha Etsow Jilo Myinthung Elio Ji” (Pride of being a Lotha) on March 31.
A press release stated here that theme speaker, Benrithung Patton, Assistant Professor, Fazl Ali College in his speech asserted that every Lotha Naga should maintain their own pride and contribute towards the Lotha society and the Nagas in general. He stated that ‘pride’ should be earned individually and one should remain as they are, maintaining self-identity. He also cited example of the 1st Naga US Army, Renthungo Merry from Okotso village.
The programme was chaired by Bichumo Ngullie, Convenor of Lotha Fellowship, NU Lumami with invocation by Grace, Women Leader, Lotha Baptist Church, Mokokchung and welcome address by Yantsuo S Ezung, President MLSU. He stated that Lothas should come together as one to promote the spirit of unity, while submerging differences within the Lotha community.
Delivering the greetings, Libemo M Tsopoe, President, Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) shared that parents should be responsible in leading their children to participate in society, adding that youths must too engage in serving the society by curving opportunity and not by reserving their ability.
