Wokha, May 11 (MExN): The Landowner Union (LOU) of the ongoing construction of the National Highway H-61(New NH-2) covering the stretch of 72 km to 83 km today alleged that workmanship of ongoing work is not up to the mark. The construction of the said stretch of road is being undertaken by the TTC Infra Company. Slow construction process has resulted in the deplorable road conditions especially during  rainy seasons, maintained a press release from the Convenor, LOU NH- 61 Vandan Erui and Secretary, Khyothungo Ezung

Due to isolation of the pavement especially within town area, there is traffic congestion causing inconveniences to the pedestrians, it added.

Accordingly, the union urged upon the concerned Construction Company/Authority to seriously take the concerns shared and expedite their resolution within one month period from May 12.  If not, the LOU would be forced to seize the machinery without any condition and information as deem fit, it said. In case of any eventuality occurring, the union will not be held responsible, it added.
