The 24-year-old One Direction member and his friend Briana Jungwirth welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on Thursday, Jan. 21 in Los Angeles, a source close to the baby mama confirmed to People.
Early Friday morning, Tomlinson's former stepdad, Mark Tomlinson, sparked speculation on social media that the crooner's son had arrived with a tweet: "Is that the patter of tiny feet?"
News that Tomlinson and the 23-year-old L.A.-based stylist were expecting a baby broke last July. The pregnancy was first confirmed by Jungwirth's dad, Joe Jungwirth, in an interview with the Daily Mail.
Joe revealed that the pregnancy "wasn't planned" by the pair. "It's a bit of a shock, you know, they're kids, stuff happens, but I'm supporting her. I love her to death and it's all good," he said at the time. "It's the first kid in our family; this will be the first grandkid. [So] we're excited about it."
And although Tomlinson and Jungwirth are not in a romantic relationship together, the two are obviously on good terms. In fact, Jungwirth was spotted supporting Tomlinson and his bandmates Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan at the group's London concerts last October for their recently concluded On The Road Again Tour.
Meanwhile, Tomlinson who has since been linked to "The Originals" star Danielle Campbell reportedly wants to bring up his son in his native UK.
