The Lower Agri Ward Council (LAWC) Kohima today undertook a road repairing work within the colony. LAWC chairman Welete (Atuo) Kapfo said that due to the deplorable road condition in the colony it have been appealing to the government for maintenance but due to lack of assistance from government side the colony citizens voluntarily carried out the task of road repairing work today. He said all the vehicle owners including well wishers from the colony came forward in donating the materials for the said repairing works. The Council expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to commuters due to blockage of the road from both side to facilitate the social work today. Meanwhile, the Council will be celebrating its silver jubilee on October 22 this year.
