Lozu FC emerged as the champion of the 5th Aphuyemi Cup 2023 on May 13.
In final match played at Pughoboto town, Lozu FC defeated United Brothers Mukalimi 4-0 to lift the title.
Viluto opened the account for Lozu FC while Ghukhe scored 2 goals. Vinato added another goal for the team.
Lozu FC was awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 70,000 while runner-up United Brothers Mukalimi received Rs. 35,000.
Gracing the grand finale as guest of homour, Benlo Thyu, Branch Manager, SBI Aghunato and President of Football Association Tseminyu District, appreciated Aphuyemi Football Club for organizing grassroot level tournament to promote grassroot players.
He also advised the players to dedicate more for the game and have teamwork mentality to move forward. With proper discipline, one can achieve their vision and goals, he said.
The closing function was chaired by Itova Shohe while vote of thanks was proposed by AFC Organizing Secretary Qhelito Sheqi.
The tournament had commenced on May 9.
