Tuensang, April 21 (DIPR): Programme for Ujjwala Diwas Gram Swaraj Abhiyan was held at K.C Lodge, Tuensang on April 20, organised by M/S Hang Gas Agency with Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, L. Jamithung Lotha as the special guest. The distributions of LPG connections to the newly selected beneficiaries were handed over by Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang.
In his speech, the DC spoke on the objectives of the programme and mentioned that the programme is focused on safety, efficiency, health, environment, economic development and women empowerment. The Assistant Director Food and Civil Supplies Tuensang highlighted the main purpose of Ujjwala Diwas and also mentioned the importance of Aadhaar Card enrollment and urged village councils to identify the genuine beneficiaries.
Owner of M/S Hangba Gas Agency Tuensang, Hangba Chang expressed concern over the grievances faced by the villagers due to inability to open bank account and the net connectivity problems. The Tuensang District BJP President spoke on the programme and few house wives also shared their experiences with LPG usage at home.
The introductory speech was delivered by Ajit Kumar Sinha and the programme was chaired by Manager M/S Hangba Gas Agency, Gyan Karki.
