The Land Resources Department Kiphire today kick started a week long Swacch Bharat as directed by the ministry of Rural Department, Department of Land resources, in commemoration of 150th birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in 2019.
In Kiphire office, the campaign was kick started by Puthuto Natso, APO who read out the pledge and initiated the cleanliness drive. Natso also highlighted the schedules that the department will be undertaking during the campaign. He also said that there are 8214 watershed project covering 39.07 million hectare in 28 states in the country being sponsored by DoLR and in this each project we are requested through SLNA to adopt a school, dispensary etc for cleanliness and awareness campaign during Swacch Bharat.
He also said that it is an intensive fortnight long national cleanliness campaign to be undertaken beginning from May 16 to 31 and appeal the staffs that it is our duty to serve Mother India by keeping the country neat and clean.
