
Mon, July 29 (DIPR): Parliamentary Secretary for Youth Resource & Sports and Land Revenue, Nagaland inaugurated the Office of the Land Record and Survey (LR&S), Mon on July 23, 2009.
In his inaugural speech Naiba called upon the Officers and Staffs of the department to work sincerely while learning new assignment with the latest technology system introduced under Modernization programme. He informed that under Modernization the whole state will be survey properly and new patta will be introduced accordingly. He hoped that modernization of the department will lighten the burden of the Administration and the police department and reduce land dispute and encroachment because the records available in the department will give justice during any land disputes.
He pointed out that Land Revenue is a big department with high responsibility and urged the officers and staffs of the department to be sincere in maintaining record of the land. He also informed the gathering about the concern and initiative taken by the Chief Minister of Nagaland for improvement of the department and in keeping proper records of land.

Director & HOD, Land Records & Survey, Dimapur, Nagaland in his welcome speech extended his gratitude to the Parliamentary Secretary for taking initiative for improvement of the department and urged the Officers and HOD of the other department to take initiative for maintaining proper land record of the Government land to stop encroachment by the private individuals.
Invocation was proposed by Pastor, KBCM, Mon and vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Christina Ngulli, Registrar, Directorate of Land Records & Survey, Dimapur. Function was chaired by R.C. Ovung, Deputy Director, Land Records & Survey, Dimapur, Nagaland.
