DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 23 (MExN): Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Sumitra Mahajan has accepted the resignation of Neiphiu Rio with effect from February 22, 2018. This was informed by the Joint Secretary, Lok Sabha Secretariat, in a letter addressed to Neiphiu Rio dated February 23, 2018. It may be mentioned that Rio tendered his resignation from the Lok Sabha on February 16, after being elected as MLA unopposed to the Northern Angami II A/C.
