DIMAPUR, JUNE 1 (MExN): The Lotha Students Union (LSU) while appreciating educational institutes in making efforts to continue educating their pupils despite all the hindrances due to the lockdown, has asked them to give concessions on the monthly tuition fees.
“The fees paid during the time of admission for the facilitation of extracurricular activities and computer education will not be availed by the students,” a press release from the LSU noted.
It further asked the educators to consider the difficulties faced by a section of students who do not have access to a stable internet connection and to come up with other methods by which such students may receive an education.
It also called upon the heads of all private institutions to ensure timely payment of salary to the educators. The LSU further implored the student community to remain committed to their studies and utilize their time in acquiring more knowledge and skills.
Meanwhile, it asked landlords to consider making concessions in house rents during the lockdown period.
