LSU seeks new fuel tank for IOC Wokha

DIMAPUR, MARCH 31 (MExN): The Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) has appealed to the Indian oil Corporation (IOC) to take appropriate steps to ‘immediately’ install a new fuel tank at M/S P Ezung & Sons, IOC Ltd Wokha by replacing the existing fuel tank which, it said, is in deplorable condition.   In a representation addressed to the Assistant Manager (Retail Sales), IOC, Dimapur, Nagaland, LSU president Amos Odyuo said the existing fuel tank at M/S P Ezung & Sons, IOC was installed in 1969 and since then no technical assistance has been provided to clean-up the fuel tank, as a result of which consumers are not getting quality fuel.

It maintained that the above mentioned IOC, Wokha is the sole supplier of fuel to all government departments in the entire district and therefore, quality products and services is absolutely required not only from a business perspective but also to maintain the confidence of the consumer at large.   Further, the students’ union informed that there has been a substantial increase in vehicles in Wokha district with good number of vehicles plying to other districts of Nagaland as well as Assam state through the National Highway.   It also appealed the IOC authorities to install Extra Premium Petrol/Diesel along with the new fuel tank, which the LSU pointed out is extremely necessary for the interest of the consumers.   The LSU said it will not remain silent if the legitimate grievances of the general public are not addressed with.
