LSU visits DMMDH to assess healthcare services, extend support

Wokha, April 1 (MExN): Marking the commencement of the tenure of a new team, the Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) on March 26 undertook an official visit to Dr Motsuo Memorial District Hospital (DMMDH), Wokha.

The objective of expressing solidarity with the healthcare fraternity and assessing the functioning of the district’s premier medical institution, the union said. 

The delegation was received by Medical Superintendent Dr N Mhonchan Kithan, who briefed the members on the hospital’s operations, challenges, and ongoing developments. 

Following the interaction, the team conducted an inspection of key departments, including the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Outpatient Department (OPD), Emergency ward, and patient cabins.

During the visit, the LSU delegation also took note of the recently inaugurated blood storage unit, acknowledging it as a significant addition to the hospital’s facilities. 

The LSU reiterated its commitment to extend all possible support and cooperation towards strengthening healthcare services in the district.
