Dimapur, January 27: A daylong training programme was conducted by KVK Nagaland University, Lumami at Lumithsami village under Akuluto sub division under Zunheboto district on January 23.
In the first session, Visakho Shunyu (SMS GPB) highlighted the importance and the advantages of using True Potato Seeds (TPS). He also imparted training on preparation of TPS nursery bed and how saplings are to be transplanted into the main field. In the second session, Narola Anichari (Programme Assistant) imparted training to the farmers on Safety Working Postures and demonstrated on how a person should maintain the body position and what measures to be taken while working in the field. All together 21 farmers participated in the training programme.
