The Mokokchung Arts and Aesthetics Management, Mokokchung visited Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) and reached out to the cancer patients under the theme “Reaching out with love” on March 12.
Rajesh Soundararajan (IAS), ADC Mokokchung was the guest of honor at the programme held at IMDH IDSP Hall where he said MAAM has not only on the aesthetic beauty but also on the inner beauty of a woman. He quoted Audrey Hepburn’s famous quote “True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul”, and said that MAAM has brought out the true beauty through such noble causes. He appreciated the commitment of MAAM to help people in need and also the donors for their generous contribution.
Ayusangla Jamir, Miss Mokokchung 2015, spoke out on “Reaching out with love” and acknowledged Late. Mongtishilu Jamir’s parents and his family for their contribution towards the MAAM Cancer Trust Fund and also Late Dr. Talitemsu who had been the biggest supporter for the cause. Late Mongtishilu died of cancer at the age of 21 while doing his B.Sc in Fergusson College, Pune. It was because of the contribution of his family that the MAAM Cancer Trust Fund can help cancer patients in need. Ayusangla added that Cancer causes untold suffering physically, mentally and emotionally and that as a caring society we should do what we can to treat it.
The members of MAAM aided three beneficiaries through the MAAM Cancer Trust Fund. The vote of thanks was given by Dr. Medem, Medical Superintendent, where he specially thanked the MAAM for choosing IMDH and helping people in need. The programme concluded with the MAAM members and Miss Mokokchung 2015 visiting the cancer ward at IMDH, Mokokchung.
