Welcoming the festive season in the town, the Mokokchung Arts & Aesthetics Management (MAAM) is organizing a mega concert at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex on December 12 with northeast singing sensation, Rosy K Remsangpuii of Mizoram; Nagaland’s own rock band INCIPIT and the timeless Samaro band set to entertain the music lovers of the state. The MAAM has started a fund poor cancer patients admitted at Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH); this Winter Melody is also being organized towards the MAAM ‘Cancer Fund’ for the poor cancer patients at IMDH. MAAM President, Odisola Ozukum in a press release stated that this concert titled ‘Winter Melody’ will herald the coming of the festive season in the town which is celebrated with much fanfare for the whole month. Mokokchung DC Sachin Jaiswal IAS will grace the concert as the chief guest which will be hosted by Arenla Lemtur. The Mokokchung Arts & Aesthetics Management (MAAM), which is formed by some philanthropic likeminded citizens of the town, had been hosting such events for the past few years. The MAAM has successfully hosted two editions of Miss Mokokchung Beauty pageant, a winter carnival and now this mega concert. Besides, the main concert, there will be food stalls with barbecues where grilled meat will be sold at the venue. Tickets’ priced at Rs 1000 (admit two) and Rs 200 (admit one) will also be available at the main gate of the venue.
