The popular Mahila Band of 15th NAP (IR) has auditioned for one of the country’s most watched Talent hunt shows ‘India’s Got Talent’ 10th season which is set to premiere from July 29.
The all female 12 member band was formed in the month of October, 2011.
After its formation, band has also undergone training for two years and since then, they have been invited to perform at various events, and also performed in states like Meghalaya, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and the Hornbill Festival Nagaland.
Till date, the band has released 3 original songs to their credit.
The band members include vocalists Tolito Shohe and Nokmalemla, R Shoyanla (Yanna) and Inaholi on the Rhythm, Sashitsungla as the lead guitarist, Bassist Tonchingsangla, Wetsolo-u Lomi on the keys and Kilemyala on the drums.
The show will stream on Sony TV and Sony Liv app on Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 pm.
Taking to Twitter, Minister of Higher Education and Tourism, Temjen Imna Along wrote, “happy to learn that 15th NAP (IR) Mahila Band is participating in ‘India’s Got Talent’, one of the most popular reality shows in the country.”
“Nagaland is brimming with immense talent which will now be on display for the world to witness. Immensely proud of them and conveying my best wishes for their future endeavours,” he added.
Nagaland DGP Rupin Sharma meanwhile shared a promo video featuring a picture of the band in the stage of India’s Got talent on Twitter.
India’s Got Talent serves as a platform for participants from diverse backgrounds to display their unique skills and talents.
