Mahila Congress launches Project Shakti in Nagaland

Kohima, July 4 (MExN): All India Mahila Congress has launched Project Shakti in Nagaland in the presence of Kim Haokip, Secretary, AIMC, Incharge of Nagaland at Congress Bhavan, Dimapur on July 4.  

Speaking at the launching programme Kim Haokip said that Project Shakti is a simple medium to establish contact between Congress Mahila workers across the country and the party central leadership, NPCC Media cell stated in a press release.  

She said the project will on one hand establish a medium to reach the voice of the Congress to every Booth, block, village, town and district across the country while on the other hand, provide a channel for the voice, opinions and feedback of party mahila workers to reach the party central leadership.  

Haokip also said that the medium will be used to educate the Mahila workers on Congress programmes relevant to the state and districts concerned.  

Adding that Congress President Rahul Gandhi is personally taking a keen interest in the project with the objective to break any barriers between the party central leadership and the grassroots workers, she explained the three simple steps for registration under the Congress’ Project Shakti through the dedicated phone number.  

She said the medium also has the potential to recognize party Mahila workers for their hard work as the channel will be monitored constantly by the party central leadership.  

Concluding her speech, Haokip thanked all the participants and party Mahila leaders for making themselves available for the launching programme and the party’s activities despite having their daily works and duties to attend to and urged the participants to continue the registration of Congress Mahila workers and also work harder in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha election.  

Earlier, Nagaland Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee President N. Lucy gave a brief introduction of Project Shakti. The programme was led by Sentila Imchen, President, Dimapur District Mahila Congress Committee (DMCC), Dimapur.
