Nagaland Piano Teachers Association members meet held in Kohima

The members of the Nagaland Piano Teachers Association (NPTA), Kohima chapter today gathered at Music Academy Kohima and shared ideas and opinions on the need to push forward the discipline of Piano in Nagaland

Addressing the members, Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) advisor Theja Meru said, “A dream that we dream alone is just a dream, a dream that we dream together is a reality.”

In this, he urged the members to come in unison to promote piano together. He assured that TaFMA would be pleased to collaborate with NPTA in their efforts to promote Piano in the state. He recalled that music leaders like Dr. Margaret Shishak, Dr Vivee Peseye and more have laid a solid music foundation for many.

Meru also challenged the Piano teachers to make Nagaland the piano capital of the country. He encouraged the younger lot to have vision and believe that it can be done.

Earlier, NPTA president Khyochano TCK, NPTA honorary member Nise Meruno and board member Sahu Peseye joined “Let’ s talk about Piano” session, which was moderated by Rokopheno Chase. Seno Whiso shared teaching journey on “Piano through the times.”

Ruth Sasu, Kekhrulu Nakro, Ayide Koza, Thejasanuo Kesiezie and Imsongdi Imsong also performed at the programme.

The programme concluded with closing hymn led by Asin Shurhozelie and Nise Meruno.
