NVCO to observe World Consumer Rights Day from March 1
Kohima, February 25 (MExN): With the theme ‘Making digital marketplaces fairer,’ Nagaland Voluntary Consumers’ Organisation (NVCO) will begin its two weeklong observance of ‘World Consumer Rights Day’ from March 1 to 15. World Consumer Rights Day is observed on March 15 every year.
NVCO in a press release from its Press & Media Cell said March 2 and 14 are already reserved for Peraciezie Baptist Church Kohima and Nagaland University Kohima Campus respectively, where the NVCO president will address the church members and university non-teaching staff.
On March 2, Peraciezie Baptist Church Kohima is conducting one day seminar for all its members. The seminar will have three sessions: Know your rights, Rights & benefits entitled to the citizens, and Constitutional provision protecting the Christian community.
President of NVCO, Kezhokhoto Savi will cover all the three sessions, while Pastor Kevichalie Metha will moderate the seminar, it was informed.
Meanwhile, NVCO in the press release asserted it is serious about the topic regarding constitutional provision with special reference to Christians “keeping in mind the acceleration of the violation of the Christian fundamental rights in the country.”
It assured to continue to create more awareness on the fundamental rights of the Christians and to voice against the persecution of Christian in the country.
