Secretary, Land Resources, Y. Kikheto Sema IAS called upon congregation of Sumi Churches to strive towards making peace and reconciliation in the name of 25 years celebration of Sumi Baptist Convention (SBC).
Speaking during the evening session on the second day of silver jubilee celebrations at Trinity Theological College, Thahekhu on Saturday, Kikheto appealed Church leaders to emphasize on uniting one another by forgiving each other.
He also appealed them to stand for what is right and point out the wrongs in the society. Kikheto said jubilee should be a time to cherish the past and claim the future while remembering the pioneers. Appreciating outreach missions initiated by churches, he, however, called for looking back home and starting from the basics of societal living.
Director, SBC, Rev. Dr. Khehovi A. Shohe delivered the sermon during the programme while Purana Bazaar Sumi Baptist Church choir presented a special song.
