
Dimapur, October 9 (MExN): The Makury Naga Youth Federation (MNYF) and Makury Naga Changlügle Chongchengchet (MNCC) half-yearly meeting was held at Shasheng village, Shera Area of Layshi Township, Naga Self-Administered Zone, Myanmar on October 5 and 6.
During the meeting, the MNCC reaffirmed its principle ‘To be an agent of change for Nagaland’, with its motto ‘Unite, Learn and Progress.’
Thongtsühmiu Jongs Isidore, Media, Information and Publicity Secretary, MNYF said that the MNYF is an apex body of both students and youths affairs within Makury Tribe. He also said that it has always been true to its stand setting an ideal example for other Tribal Based Organization (TBO) or so called ‘Civil Society Organization (CSO) among Nagas in the eastern Nagaland.
MNYF called for other Tribal Based Organizations to be strong at this juncture to safeguard our rights and stand up for justice, peace and unity towards nation building.
It also extended greetings to western Nagaland for better cooperation and relationship among Nagas.
