NOKLAK, AUGUST 5 (MExN): The District Health Authority, Noklak, conducted an awareness campaign on malaria elimination on August 4 in Old Pangsha, New Pangsha, Wonthoi, and Dan villages.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Victor Lam addressed the villagers on malaria symptoms, treatment, and elimination strategies. District Epidemiologist Dr. Kumkiuba spoke on prevention, control measures, and the importance of community participation. DPM C. Hosea N. Lam highlighted NVBDCP activities in the district.
A team led by Khrolo DM, Lam SW, and Pukha MTS also conducted screening of participants. According to the health authority, three malaria cases were detected in the Pangsha area in July. Entomological studies have confirmed the presence of vectors for malaria, dengue, and Japanese encephalitis (JE).
