Dimapur, July 8 (MExN): On Monday at around 0620 hrs, a written memo received from Station Manager, NF Railway Dimapur, stating that one person (male) was lying outside the track at KM 257/6-7 in between DMR-RXR.
Basing from the information, the GRPS duty party rushed to the spot and found one unidentified dead body (non-local) male aged around 20-25 yrs. (approx.).
“Inquest was conducted over the dead body. The cause of dead is suspected to be knocked out by a running train,” Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO, Dimapur reported in a press release. On completion of all legal formalities the dead body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur Morgue for PM examination/identification.
The description of the deceased stated: complexion- fair with black hair; wearing black long pant with belt. Claimants, relatives, friends of the deceased have been requested to contact the Officer-in-Charge, GRPS, Dimapur @ 7085055021.
