Man found unconscious in Kohima dies; police appeal for identification

Kohima, February 13 (MExN): Kohima Police have issued an appeal to the public to help identify an unidentified man who passed away at Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima (NHAK) earlier on Friday.

The deceased, aged between 25-30 years, was found unconscious on a street near Phoolbari area, Kohima on February 8. He was rushed to NHAK ICU where he succumbed to his condition at around 0630 hrs on February 13, Sr Superintendent of Police, Kohima said.

Described as fair-complexioned and approximately 5.7 ft tall, the man was wearing a light grey shirt and black trousers at the time of his discovery. He bore two distinct tattoos, the number “1997” inked on his chest and a full-hand tattoo on his left arm.

Authorities have completed all legal formalities and the body is currently preserved at the North Police Station morgue awaiting identification.
