Naga students of Mangalore with guests during the 11th Fresher’s Meet organised by Naga Students’ Forum of Mangalore on August 19.
Mangalore, August 19 (MExN): To welcome the new batch of Naga students to Mangalore, Naga Students’ Forum of Mangalore (NSFM) organised 11th Fresher’s Meet on August 19 at Roshni Nilaya, School of Social Work, Mangalore.
Praveen Pinto, an advocate by profession was the chief guest of the day. He highlighted the importance of using the power of law instead of brute force and violence, informed a press release from the NSFM. Pinto further advised the students to inculcate a sense of discipline and wished them success in their future endeavours. “There is no shortcut to success,” he exhorted.
The programme was also graced by Girish (Advocate), Kevin Medonsa (Reporter, Times of India), and Pastor Paul (All People’s Church).
Earlier, Kaini Cecilia, principal, K. Pandyarajah Ballal College of Nursing and the Advisor to NSFM introduced the chief guest, Christy Shimray D’Souza gave exhortation, and Elishan Yanthan delivered the presidential address.
30 freshers were present on the occasion, where a variety of items were performed. The hosts of the day were Rose Chobo Kim, Richie Rex, Richard Kadena, and Enid Kekhriele Pienyü.
The release further informed that Thanpam Kasomhung from St Aloysius College and Imlisenla Imchen from Nitte University bagged the Mr. and Miss Freshers 2018 NSFM title.
