Newmai News Network IMPHAL | NOVEMBER 18 The Inspector General of Assam Rifles (IGAR-South) claimed in two separate operations that the Battalions of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) apprehended two cadres of proscribed groups in Manipur. "In a joint operation, troops of Keithelmanbi Battalion along with a team of Imphal West Commandos apprehended a cadre from People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) cadre near Standard Roberth School Canchipur on November 17," it said. The IGAR-S then said that in another operation, Mantripukhri Battalion along with Imphal West Commandos apprehended a women cadre of UNLF group from general area Lamboi Khongnangkhong. Both the apprehended persons were handed over to Police for further legal action, the IGAR added.
