The Manipur government on Sunday came up with another relief for the COVID-19 patients.

Barely a day after it announced bearing the expenses for the disposal/cremation of COVID-19 victims, Manipur government on Sunday decided to cover coronavirus patients by the Chief Minister Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) schemes.

If CMHT and PMJAY card holders are diagnosed with COVID-19, they can avail the benefits of cashless hospitalisation under the two schemes, Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh announced on Facebook on Sunday.

“Happy to share that, for all the Covid patients holding CMHT and PMJAY cards, the expenses for their hospitalization in empanelled hospitals will now be covered under CMHT and PMJAY,” he posted.
