Manipur gets 4 FM Radio channels

Newmai News Network Imphal | March 28   The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, has allocated 4 FM Radio Channels to Manipur. The channels were allocated to the State after the Union Cabinet approved the auction of 683 FM Radio Channels in 236 cities.   Additional Secretary, Ministry of information & Broadcasting, Government of India, stated that new and interested entrepreneurs in the State can utilize the opportunity to expand FM Radio and may send their details to the Ministry to fully appraise the latest developments.   Private FM Radio since its inception in 2001 has expanded in 86 cities with 323 channels and is expecting to generate additional jobs in the radio sector and also enhances radio listening experience of people.
