Manipur Youth Congress stages sit in protest

Newmai News Network Imphal | May 26   Members of the Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (MPYCC) today staged a sit-in protest outside the Congress Bhawan in Imphal on the alleged failure of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government in the last three years.   Speaking to media persons, MPYCC president Amir Hussain said that the Indian Youth Congress organised the nationwide protest under the banner "Jawab do, Hisab do" (give answer, be accountable) against the "non-fulfillment of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s promises" made in the last Lok Shabha election campaign.   Amir raised many issues like unemployment, entrepreneurship, farmers, killing of jawans at the border areas, price rise in the essential commodities, health care, electricity and petroleum products.   The Youth Congress president reminded the Prime Minister about his promises made during the 2014 Lok Sabha election campaign stating that all his promises still remain unfulfilled even after 3 years.
