Maova incident: GPRN/NSCN (Neokpao-Alezo) urges peace

Dimapur, February 13 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN (Neokpao-Alezo) has on Friday appealed to the people of Chakhroma and Maova villages to renounce all forms of violence, urging them to uphold the enduring values of Christian principles, advocating peace, forgiveness, and reconciliation.

In an update issued by the MIP, it stated that the unfortunate incident that occurred on February 13 has caused deep concern, adding that such developments are “regrettable and stand contrary to the collective aspirations of the Naga people for unity and mutual understanding.”

Terming the incident as a “distressing occurrence,” it urged both parties involved in the violent activities to exercise restraint, and to refrain from any further actions that may escalate tensions. 

Likewise, it also called upon all concerned to engage in dialogue and pursue peaceful means to resolve differences, thereby safeguarding the spirit of brotherhood and communal coexistence.
