Marketing Shed inaugurated in Changtongya

Changtongya, February 6 (MExN): A marketing shed was inaugurated in Changtongya village on February 6 by I Imnamar Jamir, Block Development Officer (BDO) of RD Block Changtongya.

In his address, Jamir highlighted that while there are several Rural Development (RD) blocks in Nagaland, such schemes are not made available to all.

Speaking on the occasion, Jamir highlighted that while there are several Rural Development blocks in Nagaland, not all receive such schemes.  Thus, he encouraged the farmers and villagers to utilise the marketing shed effectively for their growth and development.

Jamir also commended Imlinungsang, the in-charge of the shed's construction, for demonstrating financial accountability, which led to the shed's completion being much better than initially expected. 

Changtongya Village Council Chairman Tiasunep, who also spoke at the inauguration, expressed gratitude to the Rural Development department, the Minister, and all other stakeholders involved in the construction of the marketing shed, which would benefit the villagers.

According to a press release, the marketing shed was constructed under the Rural Development Department initiative for the Financial Year 2023-2024.
