Indoor Stadium Peren played host to the NSACS RockAware audition on Wednesday. Altogether 5 bands auditioned, with Maskil Praise winning the district audition.
The Chief Guest for the concert was SDO Civil Smita Sarangi, IAS. In her brief speech she said, that one good decision now will lead you to a better tomorrow .She also appreciated the efforts of NSACS to disseminate and make aware the realities of HIV/AIDS and halt its spread in the state. The evening concert was also graced by SP Peren Iherie NDang
Mr. Ketho - President NUN exhorted the youth to lead a safe and responsible life, reduce stigma and discrimination towards HIV positive people. Kamlinbo member PNP+ told the crowd it’s not HIV/AIDS that kills people but stigma and discrimination.
In the morning the RockAware Crew along with Brand Ambassador Renbeni visited Baptist High School and Government College Peren. Dr. R. Rose - Consultant HIV/TB NSACS encouraged the college students to choose safety habits for living a healthy life. Nukshinaro - GIPA Coordinator had a brief interaction with the college students.
