Mokokchung, October 4 (DIPR): A mass social work and an awareness programme on Swachh Bharat Mission involving all government employees will be conducted on October 7 in Mokokchung town. Mass social work in six select public places in the town will be conducted from 6:00 to 8:00 am with an awareness programme at Imlong place where Deputy Commissioner & Chairman, District Level Review and Monitoring Committee, (DLRMC) Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel, and Brand Ambassador, SBM, Mokokchung, Supongmeren, will address the gathering. The programme will be chaired by R. Daniel Angami, EAC, HQ.
On the occasion, major cleanliness drive will be carried out in MMC Shopping Complex, Hospital Area/Parking lot, Salangtem Market, Sewak Gate, Police Point and Old Town Hall/Vegetable Market. Work distribution has been made to ensure that all the employees from various departments are evenly engaged in all the six public places. All controlling Officers were directed to instruct their respective employees to come with spades, shovels, daos etc. PHE, RD and Urban Development will co-sponsor the requirements of broom, juice, and banner. Attendance of employees will be strictly taken.
The staff of MMC and Imkongliba Memorial Hospital has also been informed to participate in the social work in their respective premises. Meanwhile the MMC has informed all the shopkeepers to clean their shop location on the occasion. Detailed work distribution will be announced at the awareness programme.
