Mass social work for Peren district on April 24

Kohima, April 22 (MExN): The office of the Planning & Transformation department, District Planning Machinery Cell, Peren today informed that the monthly mass social work for Peren district will be conducted on April 24.

Participation is mandatory for all government officers and staff at the District Headquarters as well as in all subdivisions, as adopted by the DPDB since last year.

Under the proactive leadership of Hiazu Meru, Deputy Commissioner, Peren the observance of mass social work on every fourth Friday of the month has been institutionalized to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of offices and residential quarters, particularly following the relocation to the new District Headquarters.

Since its implementation, the district has witnessed significant improvement in sanitation and upkeep, reflecting visible progress in maintaining a clean and organized environment.

In addition, the programme supports the “Green Peren” initiative of the DPDB. Tree plantation activities will be undertaken regularly alongside road in conjunction with the social work to promote environmental sustainability and maintain ecological balance, preserving the rich “Flora and Fauna” of the district. All departments have been directed to ensure full participation and cooperation.
