Mass social work organised across Nagaland

Kohima, November 22 (MExN): In an effort to prepare for the upcoming festive season, a mass social work initiative was organised across Kohima and other parts of Nagaland on November 22. A DIPR report stated that the statewide effort emphasised cleaning roads, drainage systems, government offices, and surrounding areas.

In Kohima, the cleanliness drive witnessed active participation from various sectors of society, led by Chief Secretary Nagaland, Dr J Alam, IAS, Heads of Departments, government officers, and staff joined hands to ensure the success of the initiative. Dr J Alam, IAS, actively participated in the mass social work where he joined the officers and staff of the Nagaland Civil Secretariat, who were assigned the area from Sanuoru Bridge to Directorate of IT&C.  

Earlier, Dr Alam also inspected various locations across the State capital. Organizations such as the All Nagaland Taxi Association Kohima and the Lhisemia Youth Organisation, alongside residents from different colonies, lent their support.

Apart from public areas, office premises were beautified, shops and business establishment were whitewashed with a focus on maintaining cleanliness in common spaces, including toilets, parking lots, and pathways.
