KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 12 (MExN): The district administrations of Phek and Pfutsero have announced that mass social work will be conducted in their respective towns on September 20.
Phek Deputy Commissioner Rhosietho Nguori informed that the monthly mass social work in Phek town will begin at 6 am. All government offices, staff and citizens have been requested to participate by cleaning their office premises and wards. Shopkeepers and business establishments have also been asked to clean their shops and surroundings.
In Pfutsero, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Executive Officer of the Town Council, Mhalo Humtsoe, said the mass social work will begin at 7 am. Government departments, residents and business establishments have been directed to clean their office premises, homes, commercial and public areas.
The ADC further directed residents to remove parked vehicles, commercial materials, household construction materials and other items kept on the roadside that obstruct free flow of traffic. A penalty of Rs 1,000 will be imposed for non-compliance.
