DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 4 (MExN): In a significant community-driven effort, the Chairmen of Zhavame, Zelome, Tsupfume, and Razeba Adhoc Town organized a mass male social work event on September 2. Acting on the directive of the Razeba Public Organization (RPO), the event focused on clearing roadside grasses and leveling potholes along the 15.60 km stretch of the Public Works Department (PWD) road from Pfutsero to Chilo.
The Chairmen expressed their sincere gratitude to the PWD Department in Pfutsero and KG Kenye, Minister of Power and Parliamentary Affairs, for recognizing the urgent needs of the Razeba Range. Their support was instrumental in making the event a success.
In addition to their thanks to the PWD and Minister Kenye, the Chairmen also extended heartfelt appreciation to several individuals and organizations that contributed to the project. My Road My Future provided a substantial donation that significantly bolstered the road maintenance efforts. Modovi Rhi, President of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), offered both financial support and physical participation, demonstrating his commitment to the cause. Vitoulu Domeh, PRO to the Power Minister and Parliamentary Affairs, facilitated the project by providing free one-day JCB service and Mini Dumper truck service, which were essential for the timely completion of the work.
The PWD road from Pfutsero to Chilo is a crucial interstate connection between Manipur and Nagaland, linking Pfutsero to Chilo via Mahadev, Toloi, and Senapati through Tadubi. It serves as the sole lifeline for the Razeba Range villages and Thetsumi Village, providing essential connectivity for economic activities, particularly the transportation of agricultural products.
