Massive preparation for 8th Horsepower Challenge 2019

The Nagaland Adventure Club (NAC) today announced that massive preparation is on for the upcoming 8th Horsepower Challenge 2019 and 1st North East Championship.


The event is scheduled for November 21 to 23 at Phriebagei, (Medical College), P. Khel, Kohima village.


Being held after a gap of one year, this event will also be marked by final round of 1st North East Championship in memory of Late KK Paul Rutsa.


This was announced by NAC general secretary Burakum Ao and assistant general secretary Bharat Prasad in a press conference this afternoon.


Cash prize of over Rs. 6.50 lakhs is set for various categories of stage rally and motocross enduro for cars and bikes respectively.


Under 4 wheelers event, it will feature SUV, Car Open and Rookie.


For Motocross Enduro, it will consist of Bike Open and Rookie.


Expecting a good number of participants from the north eastern states, Prasad informed that over 30 participants have been confirmed through online registration till November 15.


The NAC is expecting 60/70 participants. Spot registration is still open.


The champion of the 1st Northeast event will represent the region at the national level.


In memory of late KK Paul Rutsa, the NAC is introducing running trophy for the overall champion during the meet, which will be sponsored by the family members of KK Paul Rutsa.


Burakum informed that the family of KK Paul Rutsa is also sponsoring trophy for the winners of both SUV and car categories.


The event will also feature zip ling and other outdoor games. There will also be live music and food stalls.


Entry ticket for spectator has been fixed at Rs. 50.
