May 25 flights in Dimapur cancelled

A coordination meeting was held on May 24 between the Dimapur Airport Authority and the Dimapur incharge for COVID-19 activities, Y. Kikheto Sema, IAS; Empowered Committee Member, Honje Konyak; Commissioner of Police, Rothihu Tetseo; Chief Medical Officer, Dr, Tiasunep and a host of other officers. During the meeting it was decided that no parents, relatives or friends of the flight returnees would be allowed to receive the passengers since the district authorities have arranged such logistics. The passengers after arrival will be taken by the district authorities for screening and thereafter to their facility quarantine centres.

All three flights which were scheduled to land in Dimapur on May 25 have been cancelled. The cancelled flights include the Alliance Air flight connecting Guwahati-Dimapur-Imphal and back, which was scheduled to land in Dimapur at 9:00am and 12 noon. 


This was informed during a coordination meeting held on May 24 between the Dimapur Airport Authority and the Dimapur incharge for COVID-19 activities, Y. Kikheto Sema, IAS; Empowered Committee Member, Honje Konyak; Commissioner of Police, Rothihu Tetseo; Chief Medical Officer, Dr, Tiasunep and a host of other officers. 


Another flight connecting Kolkata and Dimapur, which was scheduled to land at around 3:30 pm on May 25, was also cancelled. 
This came after the Director General of Civil Aviation directed that all flights into and out of Kolkata will be cancelled on May 25, 26 and 27.
