With her sandy blonde hair and piercing blue eyes, she bears more than a passing resemblance to her famous mother. But that's not all they have in common for Maya Thurman-Hawke, the genetically-blessed offspring of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke is now following in her parents' footsteps by embarking on a career in acting - and at the tender age of 18, she's already making waves in Hollywood. The fledgling actress, who has largely stayed out of the limelight with the exception of a few red carpet appearances, is ready to take centre stage this year with a major fashion campaign and her first acting role under her belt. Maya who has just started her first term at The Juillard School of dance, drama and music in Manhattan landed her very first fashion campaign this month. The teen has been unveiled as the new face of British fashion giant AllSaints' SS17 collection. And as she stars in mini-film Far From Here, filmed in her hometown of Woodstock, upstate New York, it's clear that Maya is a natural in front of the camera. All Saints Creative Director Wil Beedle said: 'Anyone who spends any time with Maya will tell you that she's smart, cool and possesses an infectious enthusiasm for new ideas, the creative process, and life in general. 'And as the title suggests, making this film with Maya is a conscious decision to escape from the city and New York's increasingly overcrowded fashion week.' He added: 'Taking a trip up to Woodstock with Maya to capture the collection in the environment that inspired it and then share it a week later with the world felt more appropriate, more free, more now.'
