MOKOKCHUNG, OCTOBER 3 (MExN): The Mayangnokcha Award Trust (MAT) has announced that the 31st Mayangnokcha Awards Presentation Ceremony for academic excellence will take place on October 8 at the Christian Higher Secondary School in Dimapur. This marks the second occasion that the ceremony will be held in Dimapur.
Established in 1993, the MAT has been recognizing the HSLC toppers from the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) with the goal of promoting quality education in the state. The trust aims to honor and encourage meritorious Naga students while fostering a spirit of healthy competition that inspires students to strive for excellence and enhance the overall standard of education in Nagaland, a press release issued by MAT president, Dr C Furkumzuk and secretary, Meren L Tzudir informed
This year, the MAT will present seven awards to the top performers in the HSLC examination conducted by the NBSE in 2024. Award recipients will receive a memento, a certificate, and a cash prize.
Cherakung Zeliang , Regional Passport Officer and Head of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, Branch Secretariat, will be the special guest at the ceremony. The MAT has invited all well-wishers to attend the event and expresses gratitude to Christian Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, for hosting this year’s awards presentation ceremony.
