Kohima, January 23 (MExN): A five day mega event ‘Youth Brigade 2016’ was organized by Youth Department of Mao Baptist Church Association (MBCA) from January 15 to 19 with the theme, ‘Jesus Christ the Hope of Ages’ hosted by Mao Baptist Church Makhel at Kotu, Barak Valley.
The speakers for the program besides several resource persons were Rev. M. Asholi Akamu, Former Executive Secretary MBCA who is currently serving as a missionary with the OMF in Thailand and Dr. Tasoni Moon, Pastor, Grace Ministry International, South Korea.
The inaugural function was graced by L. Dikho, MLA 48 Mao A/C as chief guest and Song Song SDO A. Adahrii Maheo as guest of honor. The valedictory function was graced by Dr. Lokho Puni, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forests, Government of Manipur as chief guest and K. Pukeho Mao, MPS Additional SP as guest of honor.
The five day event included workshops on relevant youth issues, singing competition, March past competition, indigenous car rally, volley ball, marathon, and tug of war alongside worship services. It registered a total of 1600 youths besides invitees and regular congregation.
