Winners of the freshers meet event held at Model Christian College.
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 7 (MExN): The Model Christian College observed its 14th Annual Freshers’ Meet on the August 6 at the college auditorium. The theme for the event was ‘Iridescence’. Reluiluingle of BA 1st semester spoke on behalf the freshers.
Exhortation was given by the Principal, Dr Luke Rymbai, titled ‘Chase Your Dreams.’ He stressed that one should chase one’s dreams with determined action rather than merely following the rut. He also encouraged students to have alternatives while chasing their dreams. He suggested few steps towards achieving dreams and also highlighted the life story of Ann Davis and his ten points ‘Major Mistakes People Make When Chasing Dreams.’ He further reiterated that the initial step towards achieving dreams is to read, read and read.
During the event, Shembo of Political Science Department and Karini of English Department were crowned Mr Fresher and Miss Fresher, Model Christian College, 2022. The subtitle awards of Best Walk went to Bokivi and Surenbeni’ Mister and Miss Congeniality to Vielhoutso and Vudeni; and Mister and Miss Talented awards to Vielhoutso and Karini.
