
Mokokchung, November 2 (MExN): The Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) has called off the proposed indefinite closure after a meeting held between representatives of MCCI and officials of NSCN/GPRN in the presence of Ao Senden and All Ward Union Mokokchung (AWUM) at MCCI Conference Hall on November 2. A press release issued by Tsukti Longkumer, President and Limalenden Longkumer, General Secretary informed that the MCCI has called off the proposed indefinite closure of shops and business establishments in the town with immediate effect “in good faith and in the spirit of amity, and in the interest of maintaining peace and tranquility in Mokokchung.” The release stated that the two parties were able to address the issue at hand after a cordial exchange of views and opinions and both parties mutually agreed to defuse the situation and adopted a three-point resolution to this effect. The MCCI also expressed its appreciation to Ao Sendan for the proactive and positive role in mediating between the parties involved to help establish the amicable solution arrived and the Mokokchung district administration and police for their cooperation.
