MCCI issues notification

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 15 (MExN): The Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) has informed that selling of calendars, raffles and tickets of any kind to business establishments without prior permission is not allowed and will not be entertained in the market. Further, with the demonetization of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes recently, the MCCI informed that the business community in Mokokchung Town has “taken the extra burden to serve the people by circulating as much change as possible.” It however lamented that “there are certain individuals harassing our members with no sense of civility.” Stating that the business community is being harassed in both of the above cases, the MCCI stated that it would “stand our ground and defend our rights.” It informed any member of the business community facing harassment to immediately inform the MCCI office by calling 9436006062, 9436439707, 9436016099, 9436605461 or 9436442800. Meanwhile, it also annulled the practice of installing office bearers of MCCI into ‘fund raising committee’ by various entities without any prior consultation. It further asked the business community to be vigilant of non-banking financial institutions in Mokokchung, and to stay away from such organizations.
