Kohima, September 24 (MExN): Modern College Kohima (MCK) held its annual literary & cultural day under the theme “my culture, my identity” at the College premises on September 21.
A press release from Dr HP Singh, Principal MCK stated that Rokono Keyho, Joint Director, Directorate of Higher Education was the guest speaker at the programme. John Besü, Vice- Principal MCK in his speech motivated and encouraged the students. Imtinaro Imsong expressed the words of gratitude over the efforts made by the college in trying to provide proper platform for the students to learn more about the inherent values in their culture through folkdance, folk stories, folk songs and traditional attires.
The events of the literary competition included poetry writing, painting, sketching competition, cooking competition, photography, musical recital, memes making, and best ethnic wear, the release said.
The welcome speech was delivered by Vethito Chuzho, General Secretary of Modern College Students ‘Union followed by a special presentation by Poungtan and Tulasi Bisukarma.
