SSS Yellow sailed through the quarter finals of the MDFA Trophy 2018 by defeating Rongpang Reju 1-0. The winning goal was scored by Pangeronen in the 13th minute of the game through a corner kick. The last league match for both the teams was a do or die match. Rongpang Reju failed to penetrate through the strong defense line of SSS Yellow, sending them out of the tournament.
The second match between Friends United FC and Telongjem FC ended with Telongjem FC winning the match 2-0. Telongjem FC secured their place in the quarter finals through two goals scored by Bendangsunep and Temjenwati in the 23rd and 24th minute.
SSS Blue and Intermingle also qualified for the quarter finals from pool B. SSS Blue beat Mosaic 0-1 and Intermingle Club won 4-0 against FC Young Boys in the match played on October 18.
