The two teams from Sports Society Soyim who were drawn into the same Pool D were left to decide their fate in the football pitch as they faced each other in the first match of the day today.
SSS Yellow emerged the superior side as they defeated SSS Blue by three goals to one. Longsemtong of SSS Blue was first to strike as he scored the first goal of the match in the 6th minute. However, Temjenmeren of SSS Yellow found the equalizer just three minutes later, who went on to score twice in the 18th and 45th minutes to complete his hat-trick and save all three points from the match for SSS Yellow.
In the second match of the day, Young Boys FC overpowered Sungkomen FC by three goals to nil and registered their first win in three games after their two previous outings ended in draws. Skipper Topongmeren, full back Nephivile and midfielder Tianuksung scored a goal each for Young Boys FC to keep them alive in the tournament with hopes to move on to the next round from Pool D.
