DIMAPUR, JULY 19 (MExN): The International Shito Ryu Karate Federation’s (ISKF-India) E-Kata National Karate Championship has concluded. According to a press release, more than a 1000 entries from 60-plus teams were received for the event and the results “with the approval of the Referee commission” were declared on July 18.
The release informed that All Nagaland Karate Do Association (ANKA) Karatekas Tiakumba Jamir, Tiabenla Ao and Thsadang Sangtam won silver, bronze and bronze, respectively.
While stating that no entry fee was taken from the participants, the release said the Championship, dedicated to Hanshi Bharat Sharma, President of South Asian Karate Federation & Mentor of Indian Karate, was organised by the ISKF-India under the leadership of ISKF-India president, Shihan T Sangtam.
It said that the first position winners will be presented ‘Gi’ suits and other position winners will be given medals “according to their achievements.”
It added, “ISKF-India is an approved Style Organisation of Karate India Organisation.”
