Media fraternity offers condolences

Kohima, June 9 (MExN): Kohima Press Club (KPC) has expressed shock and sadness over the demise of Kolie Kire, father of Mhalezolie Kire, editor of Capi and former president of KPC. Kolie Kire, a respected elderly and a father figure to all who knew him, breathed his last on June 9, said a condolence message from KPC general secretary, Alice Yhoshü. He was 83 and has left behind eight children and 15 grandchildren. The KPC joined its former president and his family in mourning the loss of their father. The club members also extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the almighty grant them solace.  

In a separate message, Dimapur Press Club (DPC) condoled with the family of Mhalezolie Kire. It conveyed heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family and also prayed to Almighty God to grant eternal peace to the departed soul.  

The Nagaland Press Association (NPA) also expressed shock and sorrow at the news of the demise. “The Nagaland Press Association (NPA) shares our deepest sympathy with the bereaved family members at this moment of grief and pray that gracious God grant them solace and courage to overcome this difficult situation,” stated a condolence message from K Temjen Jamir, NPA president.
